Pedaling Preservation: A Biking Tour of Boise’s Mid-Century Hillcrest Neighborhood!
Saturday, October 19th | 4 PM
Presented by Ashley Molloy and Dan Everhart
Join architectural historians, Ashley and Dan, from the Idaho State Historic Preservation Office for an engaging bicycle tour of the historic homes in the Hillcrest neighborhood.
Discover how the Hillcrest Country Club influenced the post-war development of Boise’s Airport Bench, leading to the creation of some of the city's finest mid-century architect-designed homes.
Ashley Molloy, an architectural historian with the Idaho State Historic Preservation Office, serves as a City of Boise Historic Preservation Commissioner and is the President of the Hillcrest Neighborhood Association. Her passion for mid-century architecture and her residence in the neighborhood have inspired her to share the history and architecture with others. Dan Everhart, also an architectural historian, has an extensive background with Preservation Idaho and is currently the Outreach Historian at the Idaho State Historic Preservation Office. As a native Idahoan, Dan's personal interests have driven him to explore and document the unique architectural heritage of the state.
