SERIES 2: INTERWAR INTERLUDE IN DOWNTOWN BOISE

Join Dan Everhart to tour one of the Central Bench’s premier mid-century residential neighborhoods. While platted just after the turn of the 20th century, distance from downtown slowed development until after the Second World War when the neighborhood’s large lots embraced sprawling ranches in a variety of stylistic motifs.
Dan Everhart is an architectural historian with a long history of working with Preservation Idaho and is currently the Outreach Historian at the Idaho State Historic Preservation Office. As a native Idahoan, Dan’s personal interests led him to research the unique architectural legacy of the state. He has invested countless hours as a volunteer for Preservation Idaho and understands the importance of educating people about the history of Idaho and the significance of preserving it.
Cost: ArchWalks tickets are $10.00 each for Preservation Idaho members and $12.00 each for non-members (credit card processing fees apply).

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Preservation Idaho volunteers, experts in their respective fields, have curated and will guide the ArchWalks tours. Special thanks to Barbara Perry Bauer, Dan Everhart, Doug Stan, Richard Jarvis, and Carrie Applegate for their efforts in orchestrating these tours. Credit card processing fees will apply at checkout for each package and individual ticket paid by credit card.
If you'd prefer to pay by check to avoid the credit card processing fees, please mail a check to Preservation Idaho PO Box 1495 Boise, ID 83701. *Please note what walking tour package or individual tour tickets you would like.
Email reminders, meeting location, parking information, and walking tour details will be sent via email at least 48 hours before each walking tour; please make sure we have a current email for you.
ArchWalks tours do not explore inside of houses.
Tours are approximately one hour and 15 minutes; some tours may take longer.
Tickets are transferable and can be shared with family and friends. Please let the tour guide volunteer know if tickets are shared or transferred.
All tours take place outdoors and are not rescheduled due to weather or hot/cold temperatures. Please plan accordingly with comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, an umbrella if needed for sun or rain, and a bottle of water.
Tours will start promptly on time, beginning and ending at the same location.
Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to the start of the tour to checkin with the tour guide volunteer; your name(s) will be on a checklist so you do not need to bring a receipt or ticket with you.
