Join us for a fundraiser and party, fashion show, docent led tours of the building, music, presentation, and book signing in celebration of the works of Alfred Hitchcock through film and architecture.
'Architecture of Suspense' features Christine Madrid French, an Architectural Historian, historic preservation advocate, and best-selling author, at the Shrine Social Club.
Join us for an entertaining affair where we delve into the allure of Hitchcock-era fashion with a mid-century fashion show by the Boise Belles, and an enlightening presentation by Christine Madrid French. Christine investigates buildings as characters in Hitchcock films and the relation to the built environment and architectural form. Enjoy docent led tours of the building, a book signing, and time-period accurate music by KFFI 103.1 Tropico FM. Indulge in complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a no-host bar while dressed in 1940s – 60s attire, adding a nostalgic touch to the festivities!

5:00 p.m.: Doors open + no host drinks
5:30 - 6:30 p.m.: Docent led tours of the building
5:30 - 8:00 p.m.: Complimentary hors d'oeuvres + no host drinks + book signing
5:30 - 7:30 p.m.: Raffle fundraiser
6:30 p.m.: Fashion show of period 1940's - 1960's attire
7:00 p.m.: Presentation by Christine Madrid French + Q & A
7:45 p.m.: Raffle drawing after presentation + best costume

The infamous El Korah Shrine came to be known as a premier music venue for upcoming shows when Treefort Music Fest started using it in 2014. Ever since, Duck Club has curated a diverse array of performances at the Shrine over the years.
The Duck Club, the creator of Treefort Music Fest, has acquired the historic El Korah Shrine building and will maintain it as a hub for shows, showcasing both local and touring musicians, as well as hosting community and private events.
