Renovation of Historic Pocatello Warehouse
Orchid: Contribution to Historic Preservation
Awarded to Richard Castagna and Pamela Harmon
For the renovation of a historic warehouse for residential use in Pocatello
When Richard and Pamela saw this dilapidated, unused building in the heart of Pocatello’s national register listed Warehouse Historic District, they saw the perfect opportunity for conversion of the building into their home. The structure was built in 1915 and sits in the middle of a neighborhood important to the city for its connection with the history of rail transportation and industry. Richard and Pamela are pioneers in this neighborhood and deserve recognition which is why Preservation Idaho is pleased to honor Richard and Pamela for their Contribution to Historic Preservation.
