Orchid: Friend of Preservation
For work completed at the Salmon-Challis National Forest guard station at Loon Creek
When you first enter the Salmon-Challis National Forest guard station at Loon Creek, it’s like stepping back in time. The buildings are pristine examples of 1930’s New Deal architecture, and details from the Forest Service china to the forge in the blacksmith shop all await you. And while this may feel like magic, it can in large part be attributed to the work of Andy Bond. Andy has worked tirelessly to see this compound preserved and maintained. In addition, he has worked on numerous other sites as well. His dedication to this history and his day-to-day care of it is why Andy Bond is a friend of Historic Preservation.
